이 책은 2011년 한국기독교사 연구소에서 출판한 "강규찬과 평양산정현교회"의 영문판입니다. [국문판도 본 연구소에서 주문하실 수 있습니다.]

이 책은 부제목 'the shaping of Christian Nationalism in Korea 1905 - 1935' 에서 나타내려고 한 바와 같이 초기 한국 교회에서 기독교 민족주의의 형성에 대한 이해를 도울 것입니다. 

이 책은 소열도(T. Stanley Soltau) 선교사가 저술한 "Yin Yang: Korean Voices"에서 강규찬 목사님에 관한 내용을 포함하고 있으며, 한국 교회의 초기에 기독교 민족주의 형성을 강규찬 목사와 평양산정현교회를 중심으로 다루고 있습니다. 구한말과 일제시대에 한국 교회가 우리 한국 민족에 대한 사랑과 한국 사회에 대한 사회적 책임을 어떻게 감당하였는지를 확인할 수 있습니다.

This book was first published in Korean in 2011. It was titled "강규찬과 평양산정현교회". Now the Korea Institute of Church History decided to publish this English version for the global audience. Therefore, rather than making a strictly literal translation, the institute put greater emphasis on conveying the main contents and flow. 

This book also includes the article, 'Kyu-Chan Kang, the Philosopher,' of the book, titled "Yin Yang: Korean Voices," written by T. Stanley Soltau. As well, it discusses the formation of Christian Nationalism in the early Korean Churches even though it mainly talkes about the stories of Kyu-Chan Kang and Pyongyang East Gate Church. 

As a result, this book enables our readers to understand how to shape the Christian Nationalism in Korea and how for Kyu-Chan Kang and Korean Churches to serve Koreans and Korean societies during 1905 ~ 1935.
